Mashd N Kutcher (aka MNK) is an Australian dance music project and electronic band, known for their high-energy performances and viral content. Since their inception in 2012 by songwriter Matt James, they’ve played over 1,500 live shows across Australia, Asia, India, Europe, and the United States.

The band has achieved major success with multiple platinum records, a #12 spot in Triple J’s Hottest 100, and regular features across both Australian and international media outlets.

After signing with Universal Music Group in 2017 and inking a global publishing deal with BMG, MNK became a staple in online pop culture. With a social following of over 2 million, they've collaborated with world-champion athletes, media personalities, entertainers, and globally recognized brands.

In 2024, MNK released a string of singles leading up to their debut album ‘LEGACY’, which debuted at #2 on the ARIA Album Chart. The release received early international support, including airplay on BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM (USA), and live stream features with Grammy Award-winning producer Timbaland.

Over the past 18 months, MNK has delivered standout performances at festivals and venues across Australia, including headline sets at Rod Laver Arena, The MCG, and Commbank Stadium, as well as special events for Coles, Intel, and Carnival of Flowers, entertaining crowds of over 50,000.

In a heartfelt move, Matt James established a charity initiative in 2024, with all artist streaming royalties from the track ‘It’s Alright’ being donated in perpetuity to Myeloma Australia. The project is deeply committed to supporting cancer research, support, and awareness.
