Hand Sewing Basics Workshop

Discover the fundamentals of hand sewing in this beginner-friendly workshop designed to build confidence and practical skills. Learn the essentials, including how to thread a needle, choose the right threads and materials, and understand the basic tools used in sewing.

Participants will create a small stitch sampler while practicing a range of essential hand-sewing techniques, including:

  • Running stitch
  • Back stitch
  • Whip stitch
  • Blanket stitch
  • Ladder stitch
  • Sewing on a button

By the end of the workshop, you'll have a handy reference sampler to take home, along with the skills and confidence to tackle simple sewing repairs, alterations, and creative projects. No prior sewing experience is required.
